My Grandparents and Their Families

Union soldiers. Confederate soldiers. Florida Indian War Volunteers. Italian immigrants. Coal miners. Minister of the Gospel. Sharecropper. Tailors. Fruit vendor. Native Floridians. Sight unseen land purchasers. Vaudeville magicians. Farmers. Landowners. Renters. Widows. Township Trustee. Risk-takers. Twins. Houseboat dwellers. A Catholic married to a Seventh Day Adventist. Primitive Baptists. Methodist Episcopals. Freewill Baptists. These are a few of my ancestors and their relatives.

This blog will be my attempt to share some of what I’ve discovered about some of these people who came before me. Their United States geographic range includes Massachusetts, Kentucky, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, and probably more locations yet to be discovered.

Today I’m posting pictures of my grandparents all taken probably about the time of their marriages.
